Stephanie & Caleb's Royal Palms Wedding

Stephanie & Caleb's Royal Palms Wedding

Stephanie and Caleb. These two are so sweet and we feel so honored that they chose us as their wedding photographers. We met Stephanie when she was one of the bridesmaids in Lizzie & Alec's wedding last year. Little did we know when we did this iconic bridesmaid shot at Lizzie's wedding, we would get to recreate it with Stephanie and her bridesmaids just a year later (scroll through the post to see that sweet shot)!  Shooting at the Royal Palms is always a dream and Stephanie & Caleb's colors and florals coordinated with the vibe of the resort beautifully. Isn't it so gorgeous? We love how to warmth and color shows through on film! The ambiance of Royal Palm's seemed to fit Caleb & Stephanie perfectly. Caleb has a relaxed, calm sense about him and Stephanie is sweet and elegant with a little bit of sass! They are the perfect balance. Caleb is so gentle and kind with her, it sort of melts our hearts! You can tell by the photos that these two are a match made in heaven! Stephanie was surrounded by an amazing bride tribe who loved her, cried with her and lifted her up the entire day (side note: we seriously love all these gals!!). Caleb had family come support him from across the world. It was clear that these two are so loved and cherished by their family and friends.

It was so fun to be a part of this amazing day. We adore you Stephanie & Caleb!

Fall Desert Elopement Inspiration | Tucson Elopement Photographers

We love styled shoots and this one is pretty special to us. These shoots create unique experiences to connect with wedding vendor friends and allows each person involved to put their creativity and talents to use. If you've been following us for the last year, you might have noticed that we've been shooting with film a lot lately. It's completely stolen our hearts and sparked a new passion for photography. This shoot is almost all film and it's safe to say that we're thrilled with the results! An added blessing is that this shoot was featured on Ruffled blog yesterday! Check it out, here.

We love the desert and it's no secret that it's so on trend right now. For this shoot, we wanted to inspire couple's eloping to consider the desert as their fall "I do" destination. What the desert lacks in red and orange falling leaves, it makes up for in stunning views, unique landscapes and fantastic fall weather. Basically, the perfect place to elope and spend a few days soaking up the sun with your new hubby or wife by your side.

While we love gorgeous white dresses and lavish wedding details, we wanted to inspire couples who want to plan a meaningful, low-key, but hip wedding day. We thought of the girl who had always dreamed of wearing something unique on her wedding day, so this bride donned a stunning lace burgundy dress while her laid back groom sports his favorite jeans and hat. Rachel of The Powder Room Bridal created a stunning look for our bride with a natural look paired with a pop of fall color on her lips. Incredible designs by Alexis Grace Florals brought a little romance to the desert scene and tied in those gorgeous fall colors with a southwest twist. Your wedding day is all about marrying the one you love, so forget about the social norms and plan a wedding that is uniquely you.

Our good friend Kelly of Le Champagne Projects, designed a romantic private dinner party for two, complete with candlelight, a twinkling fireplace and wild florals. Burgundy, plum and lavender tones are woven throughout the scene and pair with the desert colors beautifully. What boho desert bride wouldn't want that beautiful cake on their wedding day? Alia of Crumbs Cake Boutique made this gorgeous white cake that we paired with an ever so fitting real cactus & succulent topper.

To present a unique, authentic feel we used real couple, Meredith & Caleb who are madly in love desert dwellers, with a fun, hip style all their own. We love to see creative couples express themselves on their wedding day and hope this shoot will inspire more couples to think outside the box!

Thanks for sharing in our joy, friends! If you follow us on instagram, prepare to be inundated with these photos for a long time! :)

Salt River Phoenix Desert Elopement

When Jane and Blair told us they were eloping and wanted to book us for a photo session to celebrate, we were so excited! Not only are these two model material, but they have a sweet, gentle love for each other that really shines through their images. We strolled along dirt paths, surrounded by grassy fields of mesquite trees. He held her hand and looked at her adoringly as they carefully walked through the thick grass. A long week of rainy days preceded their session, so the once deserty landscape was lush and beautiful. Jane & Blair were quiet and pensive, but so connected even in silence. It was a cool day and the clouds hung low, but peeked out just in time to give us those gorgeous golden hour portraits that we can't live without. It was such a stunning day to celebrate marriage! We feel so honored when couples choose us to document their wedding days and this instance is no different. Big or small, every wedding day is just as special as the next. Congratulations Jane & Blair!!

Looking Back on Our Wedding Day

Looking Back on Our Wedding Day

We can't believe it's already been three years since we said "I do", surrounded by family and friends  at our backyard wedding in Tucson, Arizona.

Our wedding day was so special, you guys. We have a group of wonderful family and friends who surrounded us with love and made our backyard wedding something that we would never forget. It was spring time in Tucson, the wildflowers were in full bloom and like most things in our life, we envisioned a wedding day that was colorful and full of joy. It was such a blessing to get married in Betsy's parent's backyard. We did everything ourselves, with the help of our very patient friends and family. We had very little experience with weddings at this point, but by the grace of God, everything came together beautifully. Though trends have changed and our personal style has evolved, we wouldn't change a thing, even if we could.

It was March 15, 2014 and we had only shot a handful of weddings at that point. We had just discovered the resurgence of film photography and absolutely fell in love with the look and feel of it. We found Constance Higley (who unfortunately doesn't offer wedding photography anymore) and knew she would be the perfect fit for our big day. Our wedding put a spark in our hearts for documenting love stories. Its been an incredible journey and we can only hope that our clients love and appreciate their wedding photos as much as we do our own. We hope you enjoy this tiny glimpse into the start of our life together. Thanks for sharing in our joy, friends.

With love,

Chelsea and Brian are two of the most fun and funny people we have ever met! They had Gorgeous, colorful handmade backyard Phoenix wedding. Their wedding took place in Phoenix, AZ, but Chelsea and Brian did most of the planning from their home in Charlotte, NC. With the help of family and friends, Chelsea put all her creative power to work to create a whimsical, elegant backyard soiree and it came together beautifully.
